I was invited to spend a day at Holland Cooper, and it was every bit as special as it sounds.
My sister came with me, which made it the perfect girly day out. We began at the beautiful Cheltenham boutique before heading to Holland Cooper HQ at Dunkertons Park, where we were welcomed by the incredible Holland Cooper team and taken inside the world of Holland Cooper, meeting the people and creativity behind the brand to understanding the way the business has grown.
From a horse trailer to a British fashion brand
If you don’t know the Holland Cooper story, it’s a really good one. Jade started Holland Cooper in 2008, selling tweed from a horse trailer at country and equestrian events – with passion and determination to succeed. And today, Holland Cooper is one of Britain’s most recognisable luxury lifestyle brands, operating from an incredible 70,000-square-foot site near Cheltenham. I particularly love this story because it really resonates with me and my business journey – anyone who has built a business from nothing knows the reality. Early mornings, late nights, putting your own money on the line, believing in yourself and being resilient. It takes talent, vision and a particular kind of stubbornness – and I mean that as the highest possible compliment of course.
A look behind the scenes
We were lucky enough to spend time with Jade, who was incredibly generous with her time. We also met Kat and the creative team, toured the headquarters and watched behind the scenes as the exclusive autumn and winter photoshoot took place – which was such a highlight! There’s something fascinating about seeing a collection come to life before the finished campaign appears. Their HQ is incredible and includes photography studios and a wholesale showroom, and every part of it feels like Holland Cooper. I left with serious office envy!
The clothes, the styling and the fizz
Julie and Daisy from the VIP Client Team gave me a very special one-to-one styling experience with around 30 outfits. We talked about shape, colour and the pieces that would work with my wardrobe, but they also encouraged me to try things I might not have chosen for myself. That’s where a brilliant stylist makes all the difference. Sometimes the outfit you walk straight past is the one you put on and immediately fall in love with.
We also toured Dunkertons (which is one of my favourite places!) before having lunch at The Atelier, with Holland Cooper fizz, of course. By that point, I was ready to move in.

The memories that came home with me was the warmth of everyone we met. From Nathan, the Cheltenham boutique manager, to Jade, Kat and the whole creative team, everyone made my sister and me feel like absolute queens from the moment we arrived.
As a business owner, I notice those things. Beautiful clothes will get people through the door, but it’s how you make them feel that brings them back.
Jade understood her customer from the beginning. She created clothes for women who want to look strong and feminine, polished but never dull. I’ve spent plenty of time in rooms where I was the only woman, so I know the confidence a great outfit can give you.
